where character counts and integrity is the keystone

Sailing the Pirated [Internet] Seas

The Guardian published a story on Saturday [the 25th of August] about The Pirate Bay. The website hosts Bit Torrent files for all types of media from the latest movie, to music, and digitized books. Because of the current state of Swedish Law and because they don’t host the files on The Pirate Bay, they are technically classified as a search engine [The Google of Piracy].

The article gives a brief history of the site and some information about Peter Sunde, Gottfrid Svartholm, and Fredrik Neij. If you are looking for additional information on The Pirate Bay, there is an article on Wikipedia. The full Guardian article is here.
