Monson<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>As you can see in reading my blog, that I believe that a person builds his character over time. I also like alliteration. Well, I do. The truth is that our actions determine who we are; like I tell me boys bad choices lead to jail and good choices don&#8217;t. Truly, it isn&#8217;t so black and white, and neither is character. Many of the classics have protagonists that cause their own problems. Hamlet comes to mind &#8230; Aesop&#8217;s Fables, Hans Christian Anderson, Mark Twain, Geoffrey Chaucer, Charles Dickens, and C. S. Lewis also come to mind.<\/p>\n<p>Only the person looking back at you in the mirror can determine what she wants to be like. Stephen R. Covey calls it, &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.stephencovey.com\/7habits\/7habits-habit2.php\" target=\"_blank\">Begin with the End in Mind<\/a>&#8220;. As a christian my goal is to become like Jesus Christ as He teaches in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lds.org\/scriptures\/nt\/matt\/5.48\">New Testament<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lds.org\/scriptures\/bofm\/3-ne\/12.48\">Book of Mormon<\/a>. While some may find this daunting; please remember that this is a life long pursuit. A marathon, not a sprint.<\/p>\n<p>As I look back over my short life, I can see the small changes that have made over time. They have helped make me the man I am today, not perfect &#8230; a work in progress.<\/p>\n<p>Your &#8220;decisions determine&#8221; your &#8220;destiny&#8221;.
