I have been listening [and reading] to a lot of speculation out there in the blogo’media sphere (1) about what the new iteration of the iPod<\/a> will be. I think that MediaLoper has gotten it right. I mean to say that if I were behind it, this would be it – except that there would also have to be the 30\/80\/120 GB hard drive models.<\/p>\n

MediaLoper<\/a> makes some valid points about how powerful of a media player the iPhone<\/a> sans<\/em> the “phone” would be! Personally, I am holding out for a 30\/80 GB hard drive version of the iPhone because then I can squeeze all my portable needs into one device<\/strong> and that would slim down what I have to carry with me 24\/7. No, really my Treo 700p<\/a> and my iPod are with me all the time, with one exception – when I have to charge them.<\/p>\n

This change in the iPod would really add to it’s aura of being the #1 digital music player on the planet! Many complain about the lack of WiFi and other features that they would like to have included in their iPod. This could be Apple<\/a>‘s next move and maybe they are just waiting for the Christmas Season to begin, I sure don’t know. I do, however, hope that this is where Apple is going with the next generation of the iPod<\/p>\n
