William (Wil) K. Becker was born in the winter of 1975. His father joined the military in the spring of 1977 and a short time later Wil and family began globe trotting.

He graduated in 1993 from a Department of Defense High School. Wil returned to the US in 1994 when his father’s duty station changed for the last time. He served a mission for his church from 1998 to 2000 and then completed his B.A . with an option in Management Information Systems at Angelo State University in Texas, in the winter of 2004.

His interest in computers began the day his parents brought a Goldstar home. He took many opportunities to use computers and learn as much as possible about how they work. Wil renewed his interest with computers after finishing his 2 year mission for The Church os Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Wil started Iron Wil CS in 2003 while still in attending ASU. He spent time helping others fix their computers and answering many computer-related questions both formally as the owner of Iron Wil CS and informally for friends and family. After finishing college, he moved to the DC Metro area and started his career with ReymannGroup, then moved to SAIC, and then NMR Consulting for a short stint; he is now working for GDIT.

The name of this website comes from David, Wil’s youngest brother, who lovingly calls him “Iron Wil”.
